Difficult Land

Gradients of hills roll to swampy wetland where Toitoi sway in the breeze. Buildings decay faster than they can be replaced.

This 2022 original artwork by CHIMP titled 'Difficult Land' was a part of 'Escape Mechanism'. Hosted by Limn Gallery (Auckland) the solo show was the artist's attempt to make sense and conceptualize some solutions for the nation's ongoing housing crisis.
